In some native american languages, Topeka means “to dig good potatoes”. To me, Topeka means land of overlooked opportunity. The Capital City has a plethora of cultural gems and interesting people. The key to enjoying this town is simple: open your eyes. Spend a day at Gage Park on the train, riding the carousel, playing horshoes, or at the Bark Park with your best friend. Take in a show at Topeka Civic Theatre. Eat at one of our great local restaurants. Walk the Shunga Trail. Get out there and enjoy everything this great town of ours has to offer.
